Well, folks, Harvest of India is one my my most favorite restaurants - until today that is!!! I took my valentine out to dinner hoping for a flavorful and spicy Indian feast. The food was great - but the service sucked!! It seems like the owner of this restaurant (who, I heard, also owns The Supper Club..) transfered reigns to a few incompetent, egoistic, and lazy gents (??) to service the clientele here!! We heard and saw these guys fighting (not sure why), and arguing with each other in the dining area - in front of the customers.
Although the place was not jam-packed, the service was extremely slow. They also forgot to bring some extra bread we requested in the beginning. Anyway, after we finished eating - despite a couple of reminders, it took them 40 minutes to get our 'check'.
Now, here is the icing on the cake folks - On top of not fulfilling the complete order, they argued that they have to charge for "everything that's ordered - as it's already in the system", and that they can't
"change" the order in the system. They did went ahead and charged for the items we did not get (and, hence, did not eat). Well, to make this fiasco less embarassing - I just went ahead and paid the bill.
Too bad they lost a customer for life.
Ohh... on the other day, they declined to honor one of their coupons, too!!! |
