I frequently eat Indian and have even traveled to India, so I consider myself somewhat of an Indian food expert. This restaurant has a menu with impressive variety, from all regions of India. The food was perfectly spiced and the service was good. The keema was unusual -- it had a sauce with it, which I have never seen before. It tasted more like chili than keema, but it was good. I do have two complaints: 1) The cuts of meat (I had chicken) leave a little to be desired for the American palate. Most Americans want white meat, along with boneless, skinless chucks of chicken. The cuts here are dark meat, which is usually the norm at ethnic restaurants. 2) The wine (I had chardonnay) had no body and tasted as if it was an old bottle left open a few days until they could finish it off. I'd give this place a solid grade of "B". |
