Mad Greek is the place to go in Cleveland. Fabulous Greek, Indian, and American dishes served in a very cool setting !! One side of the restaurant has a Greek theme and is very comfortable and spacious. On the other side, there is a full service bar and a dining room where the front windows go up for the Spring and Summer months. We found their new Wine and Martini Lists to be outstanding. The traditional Greek and Indian food is served with a flare like no other restaurant around. Very unique and very accomodating. We had a party of 15 on a busy Saturday night with no reservations and they assembled a table in 10 minutes. Don't miss this place it does not dissapoint. |

I've always liked the Mad Greek a lot, ever since I was a child in the 80s. I can only attest to what I've eaten of course, which is the same thing every time: humus with pita, baba, and chicken tikka (6 grades of heat). When I think of Cleveland, I think of the Mad Greek, and then I salivate Pavlov-style. The food is quite consistent despite different chefs. I believe the restaurant is run by the son of the founder. The founder was an Indian, and his wife is Greek. The restaurant has both Greek and Indian cuisine. The ambiance is unique. The service has always been better than most restaurants, I guess. (I would say if I was in the electric chair and I could have anything I wanted to eat as a final wish, I'd say go to the Mad Greek and get me some chicken tikka, humus, and their pita bread.) |
