My girlfriend and I are great fans of India Grill. The friendly staff and rock-solid flavors are always a treat. As the others have mentioned the Naan is quite good and the buffet always has a prime selection of both vegetarian and meat dishes. Sauces are consistant in both flavor and texture and meats are cooked to near perfection. Prices are reasonable, entrees range from 7 to 15 dollars and appetizers are quite affordable.
They tend to use clarified margarine rather than ghee, so if you're a purist you might (might) notice a minor variation in flavor and mouth feel. But if you're a vegan, then you are in luck. This is not to be considered a draw back. The food is excelent, expecially for the price.
The decor is standard. Some indian artwork reminds you where to put your mind.
You will enjoy India Grill. |

My husband and I have made it a typical spot to have lunch or dinner. The food is consistently good, and it is definitely inexpensive. So, it's affordable to stop there often. Excellent buffet for lunch (chicken) or dinner (lamb). Best Naan bread. |

The all-you-can eat buffet is the best deal in town in my opinion. They usually feature curry lamb or curry chicken on the buffet, an assortment of vegetable dishes, fresh baked pita bread, etc, all for about $9. The vegetable dishes are usually excellent; my favorite is peas and mushrooms. Ironically, this restaurant is right next door to Ambrosia, one of the other great deals in town. I will say Ambrosia's lamb is more tender than India Grill's. But India Grill is still a great deal on good food. |
