We've eaten several times at Kashish and have enjoyed the experience. All the recipes have a distinctive flavour unlike other Indian restaurants. It is indeed a hidden kohinoor. |

Fresh look at Indian cuisine: culinary artistry, high quality fresh spices, and a menu that offers authentic Indian standards, as well as some clever innovations, makes for a truly delectable gourmet experience.
This restaurant serves up a wide variety of delicious dishes. What sets it apart from most other Indian restaurants is that the ingredients are clearly very fresh and the spicing of such high quality and so cleverly combined that your mouth is hit by layer upon layer of flavor where elsewhere one might get just one or two strong yet dull flavors. This means that while wine is not usually worth having with an Indian meal in this restaurant there are significant synergies to be had.
Clearly the chef has a great deal of experience as there is artistry and thought behind the flavoring of the dishes. Many of the standard fare such as lamb tikka masala are taken to a new level due to this combination of the chef's talent and an uncompromising use of fresh high quality spices and ingredients (and this was delivery on a Wednesday night).
Even the desserts showed great flair, with the mango and vanilla combination give the meal a lovely finish with a nice Muscat.
Of special note were the tomato and coconut soup, the tandoori which was moist and succulent on the inside, the lamb tikka masala, and the pakora.
Keep in mind that this was an order that was delivered and yet the quality was such that the food was still very impressive. Delivery of a large order (over $100) only took about 20 mins so I would imagine that service is very quick in the restaurant which is located on West Belmont's upscale main thouroughfare minutes from Rte. 2.
If you want to enjoy the thrill of having Indian food for the first time again after many years of enjoying it then Kashish will give you that experience. I am thrilled that I live within such close proximity to this gem and can't wait to eat at the restaurant itself. |

We've eaten here several times and never been disappointed. Service is exceptional(especially for Boston Area), and the food is excellent. Any of the tandoori dishes are recommended; the meats are flavorful and moist. The breads are especially good. The fresh naan is warm, pillowy and fresh baked. Ample sauces are brought to dip everything in, and you find yourself wanting to dip fingers in when the bread is gone. Never crowded - as yet, largely undiscovered. |
